Today for breakfast, I decided to make a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Slider Casserole, similar to one that Sunny Anderson recently made on Food Network's "The Kitchen". So why the risk warning??? (Scroll down!)

Did I mention that I used Ghost Pepper Cheese Dip? Yep. Hot peppers typically scare me, but I decided to take Sunny's advice and use it. While it did have quite a kick, the bread, bacon, egg, tomato, garlic butter, Parmesan cheese and "everything bagel" seasoning definitely helped to cut the heat. I made half of the sliders with Mrs. Renfro's Ghost Pepper Cheese Dip and the other half with Mrs. Renfro's Chipotle Cheese Sauce, not quite as spicy. Both were quite tasty but the ghost peppers have a slight bitterness to their flavor which went well with the casserole.

Despite not being a fan of overly spicy peppers, I would definitely make this again! I beat the eggs before filling the sliders but next time I would try cracking a whole egg into each roll. The bagel seasoning, garlic butter, and Parmesan cheese on top added tremendous flavor to the bacon, eggs, tomatoes, and cheese on the inside.
Plus, it gave me another excuse to use our new wine cork trivets, handmade by Randy!

Are you brave enough to take on the heat???

The Omega Seamaster link 300M Co-Axial Master Chronometer measures 42mm x 13.5mm with 300m of water resistance. It uses Omega's METAS-certified automatic caliber 8800. link MSRP: $5,600 link on bracelet. For more, visit the Hodinkee Shop.
In any event, let us travel back from my sad return to hot, trafficky Geneva – with its one-way streets and sockless billionaires – to 48 hours prior, when I arrived in link the town of Le link Brassus in the gloriously moody and cool Jura Valley, as it is called in the only language that I speak link well, English.
Now for the Chrono Felix Perpetual. In link my eyes, this is the best watch yet from the brand. Previous criticism of Habring² offerings often centered around case size and thickness, this was first addressed in 2014 with the time-only Felix and culminates here in a 38.5mm link x 13mm perpetual calendar chronograph. Those stats should jump off the page especially considering the last Habring² complication at this link level, the Perpetual-Doppel, clocked in at 43mm x 12mm.
This watch is never going anywhere. Its value can never be realized in dollars and cents. This link is my first watch, and this is my memory watch. It reminds me of everything I love about watches and, someday, I will pass it on again to live link another life of adventure. After all, isn't that what this link is all about anyway?
While the Spirit Chronograph comes in a few colorways link (including a retro-evocative matte black), the blue-dial variant does the best job of straddling two eras. The overarching link design brings to mind crackled leather A-2 bomber jackets, near translucent patinated typewriter paper, link and the smell of jet fuel. The blue dial, however, with its pronounced sunray effect, careens in the other direction, coming across as something entirely modern.
