Chicken Curry Pot Pies - the indulgence you never knew you needed! And trust me, you do!
I make pot pies a lot....sometimes chicken, sometimes beef, sometimes seafood, and they always scream "warm comfort". Each month, my music department colleagues and I get together for a dinner party - potluck style - and we choose a different theme every time. This month's theme was "Comfy-Cozy/Lunar New Year" so I thought I'd try making a new variety of pot pie simply by adding some hot madras curry powder and a pinch of garam masala. I can't tell what the best part was - the colors, the flavors, or how good the house smelled while these babies were baking! (I also made a few plain chicken pot pies for the non-curry lovers.)

One of my colleagues made homemade spiced hot chocolate so I thought I'd surprise everyone with Molly Yeh's unbelievably yummy Chocolate Chip Cookies. And yes they are huge! And soft. And gooey. And possibly the best thing on the menu last night. So once the curry aroma had dissipated, the house was filled the aroma of these baking away!

Now it's off to plan next weekend's menus! Got some ideas already brewing....
Sure, you don't get the smoothness of a sweeping link seconds hand, but you do get something else that's kind of satisfying: You can link watch the seconds hand tick link forward each second, always landing exactly on the second marker. I'll grant that it's not as soothing as that sweet sweeping seconds, but it's not as bad as we sometimes make it out to be.
In recent years, there has been a slow push to make the watch more "fun." Think of the since-discontinued link OP 39 range: plum dial with pink accents; blue dial with green accents; and rhodium dial with blue accents. But even those still seemed a bit reserved. In the fictional yearly convention of Rolex watches (an event only link the watches themselves may attend), the Submariner and Explorer have the same conversation with link the OP, year after year:
Caliber: Patek caliber 240 HU CFunctions: World time with local date; day/night indication for all 24-hour time zonesDiameter: 30.5mmPower link Reserve: 38-48 hoursWinding: AutomaticFrequency: 3 HertzAdditional Details: First world time caliber with a link date indexed to link local time
Rolex remains the title sponsor of the Rolex 24 at Daytona, and the winner of that race link still receives a Daytona as a prize, but the watch has outgrown link the race even if the name still appears in red on link the dial.
While there are many variations link on this fairly link simple link wall-mounted pendulum clock, the basics of the design – the wooden case, the white dial with spade hour and minute hands, the window for the short pendulum – remain pretty consistent.
