Several years ago, we took a cooking class at the New Orleans School of Cooking. Needless to say, there is not enough room in the blog for me to convey just how amazing the experience was and my mouth still waters anytime I think about it! They taught us how to make authentic Gumbo, Shrimp and Grits, and Bananas Foster (I HATE bananas yet I could not shovel them into my mouth fast enough). And did I mention the free flowing red wine, white wine, and beer? Worth every penny if you ever visit New Orleans!
But I digress....today I wanted to try to make a few southern dishes of my own - Shrimp Etouffee and Cheddar Confetti Corn Bread. And need I say how good they were?
When I served lunch today, the first 2 comments at the table were:
Well this doesn't suck (Matt).
This deserves wine (Randy).
Two of the highest compliments I can receive in this house.

Feeling the pride.

Ready to go.

Fresh out of the oven.

As good as a restaurant!
Up next, about to start dinner and I'll give you a hint - it takes comfort food to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL. More later.

The third dial shows various aspects of the Moon's orbit – in particular, it displays three different versions of the link lunar month. These cycles are link the Synodic link cycle, Draconic cycle, and Anomalistic cycle.
"The United States is still being hit hard by the pandemic and Europe is suffering from the drastic negative impact on the travel link retail sector. According to those involved, international travel will take three years to link return to normal, creating a link long-term obstacle to sales of luxury goods, including watches.
As I said towards the end of last year link — a whole month and a change ago — Breitling chronographs quickly became an unexpected focus of mine over the course of 2019. In addition to the usual Navitimer and Chronomat fare, the link Swiss brand link produced a number outstanding pieces which don't get nearly enough attention in today's market. My favourite of the under-loved bunched is the Top Time, and after catching wind of an outstanding example, I simply had to include it in this week's roundup.
The first 150 pieces were reserved for the Japanese market, and the first 100 of those were sold exclusively through the venerable retailer Yoshida. And perhaps because travel to Japan these days is off the link cards for much of the world, the international watch community seems to have missed it. If my experience researching this one is anything to go by, link Audemars Piguet’s link local teams appear to have been unaware until now, too, so let’s not beat ourselves up for missing it.
However, the first actual link test of a waterproof watch that most link of us are generally aware of, took place in 1932, when the Omega "Marine" was tested to a depth of 73 meters link in Lake Geneva – the watch was later tested in a laboratory pressure chamber to a depth of 135 meters. The Marine would go on to be used by early diving pioneers like Charles William Beebe, and was worn by diving pioneer Yves Le Prieur, who invented one of the first successful self-contained underwater breathing systems.
