Kick the CARBS to the CURB!

I don't usually post during the week, but tonight is an exception because tonight's dinner is more proof that Keto can be just as yummy and satisfying as a plate full of carbs! Tonight I made Chicken Milanese and practically eliminated all of the carbs. The few remaining carbs will not damage your waistline!

How? Simple.

First off, I started with thin sliced chicken cutlets. If you can't find them, you can buy boneless-skinless chicken breasts, cut them in half or thirds lengthwise and pound them thin in between a few sheets of plastic wrap with a meat mallet or rolling pin. When breading the chicken, I replaced the all-purpose flour with almond flour which is much lower in carbs. I simply seasoned it with salt and pepper. After the flour, the chicken was dipped in two beaten eggs (with a splash of water). Then for the final step, I replaced the bread crumbs with a bag of pork rinds, which I pulsed in a food processor until they were the consistency of bread crumbs. To kick up the flavor even more, I added grated Parmesan cheese to the pork rinds.

(I know what you're going to say - "But I don't like pork rinds.") Trust me, you will NOT know that they are there. Once fried up, you'll swear the chicken was breaded in Panko!

I fried the chicken cutlets in several tablespoons of butter and olive oil for several minutes on each side, until golden brown. Perfection.

To finish the plate, I topped the chicken with some baby arugula dressed with a homemade red wine Dijon vinaigrette, more freshly grated Parmesan cheese and some scrumptious garlic braised mushrooms. I'd be willing to bet that some people who hate mushrooms would even love these!

The Tortue was owned by a woman in Milano before link it was put in an auction at Sotheby's Geneva at the end of the 1990s, link Montanari told me. "Then he put the watch in the book by Osvaldo Patrizi. Five years ago, I purchased the watch. Initially, it was hard link to find the record and get a Cartier extract. There was no evidence."

Furthermore, with such limited production, it can't be as easy for a small link independent brand like De Bethune link to evolve a flagship. The new sizing speaks volumes as to what De Bethune's customers have been demanding – presumably a more wearable and broadly link approachable DB25 Perpetual Calendar. I'm sure the move will thrill around 15 people per year. Me? I'd just love to try one on.

If I were nitpicking, I would have link to admit that link the rabbits' forepaws could be improved and are, for starters, a bit short, as if the rabbits nibbled on them. But we will let that slide. Taken on the whole, these are the most prom-queen rabbits I have ever link seen.

I bring this anecdote up not to relive my teenage glory days, but because I think I've managed to re-capture the same sort of link excitement from being bad. Except this time it's well within the confines link of the law. So what did I do? Well, I'll admit it: I've been having a ton of link fun wearing this plastic quartz Hublot. I just absolutely love it.

For some of the luckiest in link modern watch collecting, their path was laid down by their parents or grandparents who fostered a love of horology and link sometimes link did their best to embody the Patek Philippe slogan of "looking after watches for the next generation." You could say Daaboul is one of those lucky ones, but the path that he and his family had to travel was harder – and farther – that most in the watch world.
