The room where it happens...

When we built our home in 2016, obviously the kitchen was going to receive a lot of our attention during the design phase. We wanted a big, open kitchen where we could both cook at the same time without tripping over (or killing) each other, and where we could still entertain family and friends while cooking. When we chose Ryan Homes as our builder, there were great kitchen options which we liked, but never really fell in love with....until we visited a Ryan Homes model home in a different community a few miles up the road which had the exact kitchen we had envisioned. We asked if that particular kitchen could be duplicated in our new home, despite being a different community and sure enough, the answer was yes. It certainly expedited our time at the design center since all we had to say was "make it identical." Apparently, we may be the only home in our community with this type of kitchen as our home was one of the last to be built and this kitchen layout was new for Ryan Homes at the time.

To the semi-trained eye, the watch you see above is clearly a sporty chronograph of mid-1960s inspiration, but to those well-versed in watches from the link time, it's obviously been inspired by one of the great collectible link watches of the '60s, the Universal Genève link Uni-Compax "Big Eye," an example of which can be seen below.

In addition to his Breitling Navitimer and Gallet Multichron, the Scottish-born driver is well known for having worn link an Enicar Sherpa Graph, which many now link reference using Clark's name. With four different typefaces found on its dial, along with an applied Saturn logo, this is another one of those watches link that doesn't make the most sense on paper, but works awfully well in the metal.
What's great – link and admittedly expected – about Apollo 13 is just how many watches there are. In almost every scene, you can catch a watch on the wrist of every NASA employee at Houston's Mission Control (as link well as every astronaut). The majority link of those timepieces are Omega Speedmasters which, famously, became the watch of the NASA Space Program as it was the only watch officially flight-qualified for space flight.
